Personal Tutoring & Homework Help, in Dutch for €15 per Hour
For many parents in Scheveningen and the surrounding areas, such as Statenkwartier, Belgisch Park and Archipel, helping with homework is a daily challenge. Children often find it more comfortable to receive tutoring or homework support from someone other than their own parent. Sounds familiar, right?
We are two enthusiastic girls, aged 16 and 17, currently in the fifth year of the Dutch VWO secondary-school track. We offer personalised homework help, tutoring and study support to primary school pupils and first-year secondary school students. Our goal? To make homework manageable, organised and more enjoyable again.
Whether your child is in primary school or is a brand-new secondary school student struggling with all the new subjects or getting used to Magister, we can help when things get difficult. Learning how to plan and organise schoolwork in secondary school can be quite a challenge too.
Why 1-to-1 Homework Support Works So Well
Large homework support centres are often expensive, and this type of tutoring can quickly feel like “even more school” to children. We take a different approach to homework support:
- Easy to connect: Because the age difference is small, the barrier is very low. Children quickly feel comfortable with us and are more likely to ask about things they didn’t understand in class.
- Planning and structure: From helping with a first presentation in primary school to preparing a busy test week in the first year of secondary school. We help with both organisation and subject matter, and work together to find effective ways to study.
- Affordable study support: No contracts or monthly subscriptions — simply a clear, fixed rate of €15 per hour.
- Right in your neighbourhood: We can come to your home and sit together at the kitchen table in Scheveningen, or meet somewhere nearby, such as the library.
What We Can Help With
Whether your child needs some extra support with maths, language and their first school projects in primary school, or needs to adjust to the rhythm of secondary school, we look at what questions they have and discuss what kind of support is needed. We also work from our own experience as students. If there’s something we don’t know, we’ll look it up together. 🙂
- Primary school (all years): Extra attention for subjects that are difficult, doing homework together, testing knowledge and thinking together about the best way to approach different tasks.
- First year of secondary school: Help organising their diary and schedule, subject-specific homework support, getting started with homework, making summaries, revising for tests and other things we encounter together.
